Robichakro – A journey for Bengali Literature, Art & Culture
On a summer evening of 2018 a small group of friends with their love for Bengali art, culture & literature decided to create a platform named “Robichakro” to sit together once in every month to cultivate and practice various streams of bengali art and culture. Thus the journey started in a very small but enthusiastic manner. Gradually the founders of “Robichakro” felt tremendous potentially of such a platform and the organization started growing with the attendance of more and more people, distinguished guests, notable personalities, renowned singers, recitors, actors and so on.
During the span of last six years, important personalities, eminent educationinsts & speakers attending and taking part in “Robichakro” sessions were Prof. Pinakesh Sarkar, Prof. Pabitra Sarkar, Prof. Sudin Chattopadhyay, Dramatist Chandan Sen, Prof. Tarun Das, Prof. Ashis Khastogir, Prof. Soumitra Basu, Prof. Biswajit Roy, Prof. Sanjoy Mukhopadhyay, Prof. Apurba Dey, Shri Sukanta Bandyopadhyay, Shri Sadhan Chattopadhyay and Shri Tarun Goswami.
Notable singers who enthralled the Robichakro audience were, Sraboni Nag, Gopa Kundu, Saptarshi Ghatak, Mita Kundu, Shukla Das, Arijit Mukherjee, Shouvik Dey, Shibanshu Dey, Krishnendu Sengupta, Kanchan Bandyopadhyay, Shrestha Majumder etc. Recitors Dolonchampa Sarkar, Baishakhi Ghosh, Sayanti Majumder, Biplab Gangopadhyay etc. attended the programs with grace and skill.
Amongst the members, performance of Gopal Mukhopadhyay, Dwaipayan Goswami, Sinchita Chattopadhyay, Swapna Pal, Prabir Roy etc. in Robichakro sessions were praisworthy. Sourav Howlader was outstanding in his story-telling performances and
conducting the programs.
We long for a prolonged journey of Robichakro with its endeavor on for the quest of Bengali art, culture & literature.
